Wilko: Love and Death and Rock 'N' Roll

Wilko: Love and Death and Rock 'N' Roll at Fareham Live

Why see Wilko: Love and Death and Rock 'N' Roll?

A Unique Journey Through British Punk History

When Wilko Johnson learned he had cancer and had just one year left to live, he made a momentous decision to refuse treatment and spend his final days connecting with the people and places he had loved in life and recording a final farewell album. Little did the legendary Dr. Feelgood guitarist know that something miraculous was about to happen!

As told in Jonathan Maitland's electrifying new play with songs, Wilko's story comes to the stage on a UK tour with special guests each at each stop*, following a much-acclaimed Hornchurch premiere and off-West End run.

Your Favourite Guitarist's Favourite Guitarist

As the singer, songwriter and guitarist of 'Godfathers of Punk' Dr. Feelgood, Wilko Johnson's fingerpicking style marked him out as a singular talent. While he is not as universally well known, he's regularly cited as one of the greats; his legacy is felt in many who came after, with peers like John Lydon, Suggs, Paul Weller and more citing him as inspiration. In addition to his work with the Feelgoods and his solo work, he also made his acting debut in 2011, playing  Ser Ilyn Payne in a little-known show called Game of Thrones...
